Welcome to December's Bits & Bytes

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our readers!

We hope you have a fabulous time over the holidays and take the chance to truly rest and unwind with friends and family. We look forward to seeing you all in 2025!

Seasonal scams are in full swing

Christmas Scams pic-1

For many, it’s the most wonderful time of the year, but during the holiday season it’s important to be extra vigilant due to a massive increase in scams. During this time of year, criminals are most active, taking advantage of the festive spirit, our increased online activity and our busy social calendars.

Two scams that increase at this time of year are phone theft and phishing around Christmas offers and deliveries. Whether you’re out with friends and being less careful with your phone, shopping around the web for the best deal on your gifts or simply enjoying the holiday cheer, it’s crucial to stay aware and protect yourself from potential threats.

To help you stay safe, we’ve compiled a small hub of our existing blogs that cover phone theft, phishing and some other aspects of online security that are especially important at this time of year. These articles provide valuable tips and insights on how to protect your devices and your data this Christmas.

Stay secure this Christmas!

A jolly good time had by all!

Christmas Party 2024

Thank you to The Coal Shed at Tower Bridge for hosting our lovely Christmas meal this year - we came here two years ago and we were reminded of why we were so keen to return!

We all enjoyed a lovely dinner and took the opportunity to unwind and celebrate another great year. A special thanks to Faye for all of her hard work in organising an excellent Christmas party and even a between-course game of charades! Though some of the acting was questionable at best... Time to work on our skills ahead of next year!

We're supporting Mind this year..

Mind charity

This year, instead of sending out cards, we're supporting Mind.

Even though 1 in 4 people have mental health problems, most don't get the help they need. Mind is an excellent charity that campaign to make mental health an everyday priority, reducing the stigma around mental health problems and supporting those who may be struggling.

For many people struggling with mental health, Christmas can be an especially tough time - we encourage you to check out their tips for coping during Christmas, and have a look at their mission to see how you can help.

Thank you for reading and sharing

Thanks to our colleagues, clients, suppliers and partners for all your help, support and guidance. We wish you all a very successful 2025! Bits & Bytes will return and be published quarterly.

Cracker joke:

Why did Mary and Joseph miss the online meeting?

There was no Zoom at the inn!

Merry Christmas, everybody.
