TWO MINUTE INTERVIEW
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I like to bake cakes and cook for friends, which always relaxes me. Lemon cheesecakes are a speciality! I love going to my local Portuguese cafe on a sunny day, for a Nata (traditional custard tarts) and a Bica (strong Portuguese espresso).
Awards, accomplishments or anything you are particularly proud of?
I was rather proud of getting a 2.1 in English and Sociology, especially considering I only moved to the UK when I was 18, and English is not my first language. I’m also very pleased to have completed the London MoonWalk twice – though probably not a very big achievement considering I only did the 13 mile one . . .
Likes or dislikes?
I love going to indie and rock music gigs or concerts, especially the American band The National, who I saw three times last year. I don’t like busy shopping areas, so tend to avoid Oxford Circus, and I really struggle with people who have strong views about football – but don’t tell that to some of my colleagues here!
Editor’s note
Luisa makes cheesecakes which are legendary within TFS and tend to arrive mostly on staff birthdays, which obviously is not frequently enough. They possibly deserve a profile, and a photo, of their own!
