Jyoti is our bookkeeper here at The Final Step and keeps everything in order. She joined us in 2010 after taking time off to start a family, and has 15 years of experience looking after the accounts of large and small organisations, both commercial and charitable. Jyoti is very much a ‘calming influence’, with a head for figures and keen attention to detail.
TWO MINUTE INTERVIEW
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I love walking and yoga, which is maybe where my ‘calming influence’ comes from! I’m also keen on sewing, cooking and crafts - especially clay modelling, and doing artwork and Play Doh with my daughter, as long as she helps with the clearing up!
Who has been your greatest inspiration?
Maya Fiennes. She is a Kundalini - a Yoga Teacher – and she inspired me on a daily basis to practice Yoga regularly. I enjoy her videos and music, as well as her books.
Tell us a bit about your background
I was born in Kenya, into a large family with eight siblings. When I was younger there was always a fight to get our parents’ attention - but now we are all adults, I appreciate the great benefit of having their support, and being able to visit my family in other parts of the world now that everyone has spread out.
