The Final Step

Microsoft have announced that Windows 8, the latest version of their operating system, will be generally available on October 26th 2012. Windows 8 will combine a traditional desktop interface and a touch screen interface. Having the same core operating system for PCs and tablets is seen a key strategy for Microsoft, unlike Apple who have separate ones. Microsoft aim to compete with the iPad, Kindle Fire and Google's Nexus devices.
